The masked castle

A mask represents a human face, that of a god, animal, hero.. it can be terrifying and comic, imparting its characteristics, transforming both the outside and the inside of its wearer. But the use of the mask is not solely limited to the carnival, children’s delight or theatre performances – since ancient times the practice of disguise is frequently used in every epoch and continent. Making masks may become a fun children’s game since it helps them to transform, to “make believe that…” and to develop and understand their character and their self –perception, projected not only onto the playmates, but also onto the adults.
